Tweet above shows that Paul Martin OBE has been appointed to the LGBT Advisory Panel for the Women & Equalities office. Martin retweets misogynist Dr Harrop & called the police on FPFW for distributing leaflets.

The LGBT Advisory panel are recruiting 9 more members atm.

If anyone knows who else is currently on this panel alongside him, please do post details. I think we are seeing just how women's rights are going to continue to be attacked & without a single women's org (other then FPFW & WPUK) defending sex based protections under the EA2010, I predict it won't be long til the EA2010 is targeted officially, despite the so-called assurances that won't happen. We already know Stonewall are lobbying for the removal of sex based exemptions. Now they're officially on government panels to push that agenda further.

What ever happened to promoting good relations between protected groups?

I think Martin was appointed as one of the 3 designated representatives from the voluntary sector.

I'd hope that people like Kathleen Stock, Debbie Hayton, Miranda Yardley et al apply for the other membership positions on the panel. It would be interesting to see a young person like Rose of Dawn apply for a post.

Verify2Terrify · 04/11/2018 14:19

I agree - Kathleen Stock was the 1st person I thought of, followed by Anne Ruzlo. Miranda would be excellent too. It will be interesting to see how this panel develops but I don't hold out much hope for any reasonable balance at all.

If anyone has a Twitter account it would be good if all of these excellent candidates were asked to stand along with Jonny Best and so many others.

Much as I've gone off the Fawcett Society, I did like their: Ask her to stand initiative.

Actually, the way things are going, I'm ready for a,

Courage calls: Implore her to stand initiative.

Paul Martin who has a grievance against Fair Play to Women

Twitter wouldn’t allow me to post for some reason but I’m starting to think woman stands for:-

Wankers
Opinionated
Male
Adult
Narcissistic

Think we might need to reform and everything ie woman’s aid be called womanadulthumanfemale.aid

Imnobody4 · 04/11/2018 16:25

Representation must be 50% lesbian/women in line with their committment to 50% female MPs

AssassinatedBeauty · 04/11/2018 16:27

What kind of "women" though? I reckon they'd be thrilled with 50% of the non-natal kind of "women".

Charliethefeminist · 05/11/2018 08:19

This is insane. To balance this sort of person you need Fair Play. Nothing else will do. In fact, you can't 'balance' an extremist at all.

This misogynist could get airtime as 'an advisor to the women's committee' - ge probably can't believe his luck and must be rubbing his thighs with glee.

I wonder who in the civil service faied to vet him properly and backed his application?

Charliethefeminist · 05/11/2018 08:27

With transadvocates like this advising on vetting and selection, what can one expect?

Can we put together a list of people we'd implore to be considered as candidates?

Am I being really ignorant here and not understanding that at some levels people don't apply for positions that they might not be considered for sincerely, depending on who does the interviews and what the criteria are?

Charliethefeminist · 06/11/2018 00:45

We could but they wouldn't listen. I'm low tonight. Fighting on all fronts and fobbed off, ignored, lied to, for years. I don't know what to do.

Sorry to read this, Charlie. Serial lying over extended periods is a particular bugbear of mine and I'm so sorry to learn it's happened to you.

Charliethefeminist · 07/11/2018 10:56

Thanks for kind words. Male managers. What can I say. The worst thing about bring very openly GC at work is not drama or blazing rows. It's endless requests for meetings ignored, empty reassurances that need dismantling, men constantly irritated that you are being right all over their inboxes, monitoring tedious policy initiatives for language, being seen as the nagger when the subject comes up, the dismissiveness from men men men, the constant emailing, the evasion of simple questions, the sighing when you raise it etc. It's just, attrition.
