It's a well known statistic that an average of two women every week are killed in the UK by men - often their current or former partners.
Violence against women is systemic and under-reported. I was reminded of this again this morning when reading the news and seeing this story - warning, upsetting content.
We are currently in an era of fake news, PR, feelings trumping fact and emotive manipulation of statistics that don't apply to the UK. However many organisations and people do sterling work in ensuring that their names are not forgotten and that their voices are heard and used to help other women.
