Those viewing figures are obviously a concern..

Yep. All available shows will be under instruction to get in as much puff as possible this week. Bad start at 2.8m viewers and disastrous episode 2 at 2.3m.

Bonions · 24/10/2018 09:19

They seem quite high to me lang but I don’t know how that compares to other shows.

Zeugma · 24/10/2018 09:37

6.8 million watched episode 1 of ' The Bodyguard' when it initially went out. Almost 4 million more watched it on catch-up etc during the same week - so considerably over 10 million in total.

A way to go, then.

Oh dear, sorry the propaganda isn't reaching as far as you'd like.
And that Private Eye is definitely starting to take an interest. It's not developing entirely according to plan, I feel.

pennydrew · 24/10/2018 09:39

I can’t stand Lorraine. The way she interviewed Josie Russell was disgraceful and very typical of her. Completely disingenuous.

OrchidInTheSun · 24/10/2018 09:39

I'm not watching boopsy but if poppy has been put on puberty blockers, she may well have slight SN. It has an appalling impact on IQ

FlowersAndHerts · 24/10/2018 09:43

It's on ITV+1 in a minute (33 on Freeview), and it's with Carol Vorderman.

High? For a prime time Sunday night drama? I think not.

Dismal figures. ITV would have been hoping for 4m plus.

Sorry, I meant to add a Susie to that sentence but it got lost somehow

LangCleg · 24/10/2018 09:53

For example, even against The Bodyguard, the BBC's most watched drama in years, ITV's Vanity Fair was pulling in 3.1m. The Cry, against Butterfly, achieved 5m.

Someone was saying ITV was hoping for a sequel series. I hope not because on the showing so far, Butterfly has flopped.

Winning Twitter isn't the same as actually winning, I'm afraid.

Bonions · 24/10/2018 09:58

I suppose it’s the thought of 2 million people watching and thinking that enabling a young child to transition was the progressive thing to do which was a bit alarming but of course it’s relative numbers that’s important and I suppose not everyone will have bought it unquestioningly.

HilltopTractor · 24/10/2018 10:01

The two million viewers will not all agree with the propaganda.

The damage will be done though, more fabricated induced illness will happen.SadAngry

reallybadidea · 24/10/2018 10:05

@pennydrew what happened with Josie Russell? I didn't see it.

pennydrew · 24/10/2018 10:11

Oh it was fucking awful the way she interviewed her recently. Clearly pretending to be interested in her art ( which is v cool by the way and I bought a cushion after the interview! ) but continually pressing her about what happened that day, how she moved on, really intrusive. You could tell Josie didn’t want to delve into it and she kept saying the same thing, ‘ I try not to think about it and moved on with life, keeping busy helps and focusing on my art...’ I’ll never forget that interview. I hadn’t heard the story before because I’m not from here and I seriously bawled my eyes out! I love my cushion 😊

reallybadidea · 24/10/2018 10:31

God, that sounds awful. Lorraine is pretty annoying at the best of times, I try to avoid watching her!

Charliethefeminist · 24/10/2018 10:44

Progs like Lorraine have a massively vapid approach. Vapidity goes right up to the programme editors. Got a clipboard, an Instagram account and a concerned look? Give that person a job.
