On Friday Students from Sheffield Hallam University the LGBT Officer and Women's Officer put out a terrible joint statement declaring that there would be "zero tolerance" for "TERFS" and they were condemning women who distributed FairPlay for Women Leaflets on Ecclesall Road in "their" City.

My thread challenging that is here

But I asked the Vice Chancellor his opinion. There has been zero response.

I think mothers should assume that their feminist daughters aren't welcome there until he clarified otherwise.

Apparently women also went and leafleted that exact same road the very next day. Don't mess with Yorkshire women. Just don't.

Jesus.

"The fight against t*rfs" this stood out to me. And smacks of a extremism?!

Also I bet half of them only identify as northern.

And there's a strip club on campus??!?

Worth raising concerns with admissions who will want to make sure new students/parents funding them aren’t put off by violent slurs against women being allowed/normalised at their universities

I love the arrogance as if they are the thought police for an entire bloody city.

Much as I hate to disparage young people in politics, this cause seems to attract a particular type of woke millennial who've no life experience but love social media.

I tried to click on your thread but I seem to be blocked!

These young people seem to have a very odd understanding of historic movements such as Reclaim the Streets ...Next thing we know, they'll do something completely inappropriate for a city in the vicinity of the origins of Reclaim the Night (Leeds, 1977).

Reclaim the streets. De-TERF the Night.
For we don't need no stinkin' rights.

We long to live Under His Eye.
Just gulag those who won't comply
