It won’t be all over quickly like the referendum either as it wasn’t a vote. Also it’s not a yes/no question. We might get self-ID with exemptions, for example.

It's a Schrodinger's ideology. They want to be considered exactly the same as real women AND also be trans at the same time. The state of being trans disproves any claim at womanhood. Either they are exactly the same as all other women, therefore trans isn't a thing. Or they acknowledge that biology is a fundamental part of being a woman, therefore trans isn't a thing. It's an irreconcilable circularity. In laying claim to both states they are eliding sex and gender into one category, when they are incompatible, discrete concepts.
