So I came across this delightful acronym in a Anti-Woman diatribe this morning. In amongst the usual ranting about hate groups and made up suicide statistics, I learned that 'cis' people have no right whatsoever to have an opinion on any of the issues under discussion, and all 'WHIteCisHet (WHICH)' should shut up.

Yup, they actually think that calling women who object to their rights and protections being eroded 'Whiches' is going to conceal the anti-woman motivation of this?

And of course, the biggest reason we're being called all this, in the words of Granny herself - "We do right. We don't do nice."

Re race: just another stick to beat people with. Transphobic has lost all power, sexist can't work, homophobia's too close to their own position, abelist hasn't been successful, let's try racist. Awaiting ageist as we speak (but are we anti-youth, or anti-middle-aged men? Only time will tell).

Sounds like the same logic that says that no one who isn't trans can understand what gender identity is, because since you're not living with some kind of "mis-match", it would be akin to trying to experience the fifth dimension. So we just have to take their word for it.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 16/10/2018 17:02

Yeah. Not that bothered by my three year old calling me a poohead when I annoy him either. It's about the same level.

There is however a lovely quote about some witches need special silver knives blessed by light from the third moon quarter, sacred herbs, preparatory sacred salt baths and blessed robes before doing magic. And other witches brush the biscuit crumbs off their hands and say "Right bitches, let's do this."

The second kind are definitely MNetters.

I thought of the venerable consumer review magazine when I saw the thread title, and wondered how on earth they had wandered into the GRA debate. I feel rather like I have typecast myself.

YessicaHaircut · 16/10/2018 17:26

They turned me into a newt!

...I got better.

silentcrow · 16/10/2018 17:47

Knicknack sounds familiar! Can't remember where it's from, though. We're definitely not a bunch of "wanna blessed bes" here 😁

R0wantrees · 16/10/2018 17:49

Witch = wise woman

bluetitsaretits · 16/10/2018 18:09

Two things must ye know about the wise woman. ........

for a second you go, 'Oh, that's clever.' and then you realize that they've just managed to spell a word with letters from the English language, which is a skill most people pick up in primary school.

😂

Lost my phonetic script. CROwNE is pronounced ‘Crone’, of course.

Double double toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble
Silence of cowardly MP
Bleating of misogyny
Sneer and snore of lefty bro
Tears and wails of rapist’s woe
Sex offender’s toenail scrapes
BBC propaganda japes
Statistics bent and in disguise
Equality Act misquoted lies
For a charm of powerful trouble
… Penny, do you see it bubble?

bluetitsaretits · 16/10/2018 19:42

EmilieDuChatelet I came on this thread in a panic thinking I would have to cancel my subscription. Phew, is it right to feel relieved I’m a witch but can keep my consumer rights magazine?
