For saying that a trans woman who claims to have beaten a cycling record (in the women's category) is a man.

She's rattled a few cages it seems.

I stand with Posie.

Ban all women ?

I suspect there are a lot more people watching Posie Parker's FB page and reporting.

Most people's posts are not targetted.

This is how Posie Parker (and others) were / are banned on Twitter and also sometimes here on Mumsnet.

Its the mass reporting what done it!

Her account has been suspended on Twitter so I can't read it.

Targeted for telling the truth. Yet plenty of men are saying exactly the same with no problem. It is so wrong.

I just discussed this with DD. We are utterly confused. That is a man?! WTF???!

Mrkaplanz's deleted posts are a gloating admission that he got her banned. Thing is banning people for speaking the truth only enrages others and gets them speaking the truth in her place. Look how well banning the billboard worked out. It went viral and so many more people are aware now. Last I knew 26,000 had visited FPFW's site to do the email consultation. Not sure the time frame on that but think it was over a few days. So you can silence some, but the rest will rise and continue to spread the word. The truth will out. Silencing us only increases how many hear us because others are only too happy to stand with Posie in telling the truth.

Weird - I'm FB friends with Posie & I can still see her! Has she got a 'Posie' account & a separate 'own name' one? I saw the post about bikey bloke when she posted it...

Report
PerverseConverse · 14/10/2018 17:19

PurpleCrowbar you can see her account but she can't post. I was banned from Fb for using the correct pronouns but my account was still there I just couldn't comment on anything. I could post though as they just banned me from commenting Hmm

Rachel is a cheat.

How deluded must you be to only be able to gain a sense of self-worth from cheating your way to a (fake) "world record"?

I wonder if they also gloat when they beat a 7 year old at monopoly?

Gotcha, Perverse. Thanks!

That really is bloody ridiculous. & if anything more likely to amplify the signal - I don't imagine I'm the only person on her FB promptly resolving to post lots more gender critical stuff.

I wish some of the top sports women would start speaking out.

They are asking people to buy their (won by cheating) souvenir top for them? Mummy issues I’m guessing. Grown up enough to lecture us all in the academic meaning of the word woman yet not quite grown up enough to buy their own sweeties.

This is an interesting article on attitudes around transgender cyclists, McKinnon is one of those commenting:

eu.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2018/01/11/these-transgender-cyclists-have-olympian-disagreement-how-define-fairness/995434001/

FermatsTheorem · 14/10/2018 18:26

I see on McKinnon's twitter feed there's the usual handmaiden crapola about "GC women are being biologically essentialist and 'limiting women' by saying they're weak and inferior..."

So - recognising that women are less muscular than men (because biology - a statement of fact) = inferior (a moral judgement)... run that one past me again...

But pink ladybrains in blue be-penised bodies - that's just fine and dandy. No threat to feminism in buying into the concept of ladybrains, no sirree.

Report
HollowTalk · 14/10/2018 19:26

GC women are biologically essentialist - well, yes, I'd agree with that. We are our biology, as are men.
