Equate Scotland for women in Stem...

... have drunk the koolaid too... as anyone who 'identifies as a female' is eligible to apply for their placement scheme.

Some thoughts:

Firstly, do transwomen really need a leg up in STEM? Lots seem to do exceptionally well in IT, engineering etc.

Second, a natal women who identifies as non binary will be intelligible? Seems wrong as what the policy means is that a man in a dress is eligible, but a woman in trousers who identifies as non binary is not. Surely this a breach of the equality act.

I feel an email coming on...

I would think the wording 'female/identifies as a woman' is intended to include all women including transmen/'non binary' females but also TW.

So while an email is in order I wouldn't focus too much on the second point.
