That's much better! Well Done to FPFW!

Carriemac · 09/10/2018 11:45

excellent

WatchThePotatoesBoil · 09/10/2018 11:56

Are these template responses?
I thought template submissions were filtered out and rejected?

arranfan · 09/10/2018 11:59

I think you can still re-write them (and it's preferred) but it's often easier to re-write something than to do it from scratch.

However, as Stonewall and Amnesty are doing it, there must be some provision/discussion for similar automated responses.

blueandgreendots · 09/10/2018 12:25

On the FPFW website it says "(note: the Government’s consultation document confirms that it will accept submissions by email as an alternative to using their online submission form)"

So hopefully these template submissions will still be accepted.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 09/10/2018 12:59

Oh wow, that should make it so much easier for people. Thanks for the link OP!

oneWeirdReSister · 09/10/2018 13:19

I'll be getting my teenagers to use this response. Thank you.

NoSquirrels · 09/10/2018 13:52

Thanks for this. Gave me the push to complete and adapt my online responses.

Needmoresleep · 09/10/2018 15:03

Yippee, I have finally finished. It took me most of the day. I got so fed up that at one point I simply wrote: "No penises. End of."

I think it is normally far better if you can personalise something, so add in bits you feel strongly about. But given Stonewall and others have been pumping out responses, I can understand why FPFW want to demonstrate that there are a lot of concerned voices out there. Normally busy people who dont have time for twitter, nor for devoting half a day to an unwieldy consultations.

I have decided to put the FPFW guidance on Fb, and to emphasise the question about sport, suggesting that people who don't have strong views at least answer that one. Hopefully they will then go onto answer the next question about prisons. Every little helps.

Invisible1234 · 10/10/2018 08:06

I've just emailed this to my family and friends, and posted it on Facebook...fingers crossed!

This will draw far more responses than having to complete the whole consultation, which although better, will be too daunting for many.

charis · 10/10/2018 08:37

Brilliant! Just did it for me, DH and DS. Lol at "no penises" Grin

Destinysdaughter · 10/10/2018 08:44

This is so helpful, took no time at all, please send to pp who might find reading and filling in the responses too overwhelming or time consuming.

FishfingersAreFingers · 10/10/2018 08:45

Thank you!! I started filling out consultation out a few weeks ago and it was making me steam having to articulate why such a stupid idea was so stupid but hadn't finished it.

I actually woke in the night last night worrying about it because I wanted to make sure my voice was heard and moaned to myself how it was easy for the alternate view to fill out with the prepared responses by Stonewall at al

But now we Have our own! Thank you!!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/10/2018 09:01

I think it's worth the effort of doing it yourself TBH. If you use the guidelines to help you work out which questions you want to focus on and to decipher their meaning, it doesn't take all that long. I think it's a good mental exercise to go through it thoughtfully.

arranfan · 10/10/2018 09:17

If responders can reword the example answers and pop in something from their own experiences then this is such a convenient thing to do for anyone who was finding the consultation to be intimidating (even with WPUK or FPFW guidance).
