Just this really, heard a quote on the radio saying “It’s just accepted as a part of growing up”

Just goes to show how normalised our children are growing up in a society where girls are nothing.

Ps sorry for 3 parts to my OP, blame mumsnet mobile...

Saw that this morning. And the comments from women how the girls should not shorten their skirts 😡

How about the men keep their comments and hands to themselves

Turniptracker · 08/10/2018 22:29

Just read this too and was absolutely disgusted. What is wrong with our society these days - have kids always been sexualised?!

AngryAttackKittens · 08/10/2018 22:33

I'm amazed it's only a third, since I can't think of any classmates who weren't.

Jeremy Vine when trailing his programme on Ken Bruce this morning "is the problem the uniform?". Ken...

Also JV described it has "wolf whistling". He really has no fucking clue.

MaisyPops · 08/10/2018 23:03

Girls should wear the uniform correctly because that's the uniform.

Men shouldn't be leering after school girls.

Girls not wearing the uniform properly is entirelu separate from men being pervs. Women's clothes are not responsible for men's actions.

AngryAttackKittens · 08/10/2018 23:03

No, Jeremy, the problem is not the uniform. As demonstrated by the fact that this happens to girls all over the world regardless of differences in what the uniform looks like.

I keep retyping my replies.. just so fucking cross. I have a sister 10 years younger than me and this happenes to her regularly.

It also happened to me too l, I even wrote to my mp at 20 years old! (No reply). Broke my heart when my sister called me to pick her up as she was too scared to walk the 2 mile home ( she was half way), after been stopped on the streets 3 times..

I was 60 miles away and couldn’t help, had to talk to her the rest of the way whilst she was sobbing

Not a problem, it wasn't meant as a criticism.

Freezingbum · 08/10/2018 23:41

Ps she was wearing the “correct uniform” for

My school's uniform was hideous and could only have been considered "sexy" by a pedophile for whom anything associated with underage girls is "sexy". And yet do I recall a single classmate who wasn't harassed? No, I do not.
