Great review of multiple new novels exploring dystopian scenarios for women.

Sigh. My TBR will never ever clear, will it. I read Vox recently and whilst I didn't get on with the somewhat hokey science, the opening third is absolutely chilling, particularly when the main character is looking over her regrets at not speaking out when she could. So relevant to right now.

Cheers, OP - I have most of the Man Booker listings on my pile already but I hadn't come across An Excess Male or Before She Sleeps.

Thanks for this. I have forwarded the link to my 17-year-old niece who is studying dystopian fiction as part of her A-level English Lit and is already very gender critical!
