Has anone tried wearing one of Posie's t-shirts out and about? I just saw them and watched her YouTube video Grin. Very interested to get and wear one.. but then a part of me is scared and thinking I might just wear it around the house, which would defeat the point.

What am I scared of.. being approached in an aggressive way, shouted at in front of others in public, potentially even being physically grabbed or attacked. but these are just perceptions, as I haven't anything to base the fears on. So, unreasonable. I have a 5 year old daughter and wouldn't want her to see any of that, that is a part of it.

It is the DICTIONARY DEFINITION of woman / women. So in no way wrong, hateful, hostile.. and yet I just googled 'Posie adult human female' and the first thing that came up is the billboard that was taken down. All it did was state a fact.

Has anyone tried wearing one?

For context I live in a small sized Midlands town, not a city.

I get some 'tut' type looks, some minor eyerolling, and a few 'I'm so disappointed to see you wearing that' type looks when I wear my tshirts and feminist symbol jewelry.

All from men, some of them men I used to believe were nice, and I no longer have any fucks to give.

I've got the tote bag - first time I pulled it out to use it the shop assistant said "great bag", used it yesterday en route to a meeting and got approached by someone who said "I'm guessing you're going to the same meeting as me" - much more visible than the T Shirt and can be turned inwards if you're nervous. No negative reactions at all, and I'm using it a lot atm.

Can anyone tell me what the sizing is like please? I'm a size 20/22 with big boobs and perimenopausal belly! I'd have no problem wearing it out and about.

I've got the red Fair Play t shirt, and one with a venus symbol on with no writing. It could mean I'm into astrology for all people know but it gets read as 'in your face feminist'.

diane I like the idea of the tote bag too.. like namechanged probably won't be wearing it on the Uni campus where I work. Tempting.. but not quite that brave.

I might get one, but might plump for the bag instead. I’m also nervous about wearing it out and about, which is obviously barmy, but the fear of male violence runs very deep.
