Just got this
first100years.org.uk

It's a celebration of the centenary of the passing of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act (whereby women could not join the law professions).

100 years only!!

(btw, the charity seems to have the word 'sex' well displayed - one to support?)

#OnTheRoll in the Supreme Court
The First 100 Years #OnTheRoll artefact is now on display at the Supreme Court. The limited edition toilet roll, one of only 100 in the world, tells of how law firms, chambers and other legal institutions had provided the lack of women’s lavatories as a reason for not promoting women to senior positions within...

All about the toilets, eh

“A Woman is Not a Person” - I never knew this. Fascinating website. Shows exactly how new all our rights are. And by extension how easily they can be removed. They are not embedded in anyone's psyche through a 1000 years of history.

If you are not even a person how can you have any right to anything? All those who claim that it's men that invented everything... how could women have put their names against anything? Every idea would be stolen... officially legally stolen.

Exactly - and knowledge of the law is very very instructive in these regards, as the lawyers are the gatekeepers
