As if to reflect the current UK crisis, I got the igg weekly email and there was a listing for lgbt+ training, to be led by TENI. Now, I'm only a wet week a brownies leader so I have a lot of reading to do yet, but the website clearly states we are single sex - "The Irish Girl Guides believes in providing a single-sex environment that will help girls develop to their fullest potential. As an organisation we know it is also beneficial to girls and women to have supportive families and friends. Males are welcome to support the Irish Girl Guides in various roles such as Unit Helpers".
Has anyone discussed any of this in their unit or district? I'm tempted to go to the training but I'm not sure I'm sufficiently well versed in either igg or the arguments around our own legislation to have an effective discussion.
