Statistics on suicide rates amongst transgender individuals

One of my friends, whose child is trans (FtM) is worried sick by the suicide rates Stonewall habitually refers to.

I seem to remember these were found to be unreliable as the sample size of the trans respondents was very low, so as to hold little water in terms of its statistical significance.

Can anyone point me to the right place? I recall reading an article or blog where the original research was analysed but can't remember where.

The statistics are false. The way they are being misused also goes against The Samaritans guidelines.

I feel sick for my friend, who is worried sick about their child. It makes me so angry that a campaign group would over-egg some ropey data like this. It's deeply irresponsible.

I think I also saw something on Twitter where someone had analysed suicides by under-18s in the UK but again, can't find it. Will look again but if it rings a bell with anyone...

Think I saw it in the last week or so.

As far as I know there has been one child suicide attributed to being trans. Leo Etherington. Although even that is doubtful.

Also, the Tavistock say they know of one in ten years.

TRAs would be talking about individuals all the time if there were any.

The stats do not related to completed suicide.
