Challenging Stonewall about having an adviser who employs a paedophile and asking why normal standards of 'probity and decency' are not being applied. Share token:

Both of the cats I've had in my life took themselves off to bed at about 9pm and would have been appalled (and you all know what that's like from a cat) if I'd suggested slinging them out at night. Both had catflaps, so had easy access to the outdoors at all times.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/09/2018 09:15

Why don't people put their cats out at night?

They all went out a hunting on a night!

I think you may have answered your own question there.

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 09:17

The only thing my cat hunts is discarded tissues.

(She used to make piles of them under the bed, like a snotty little nest.)

Miladymilord · 06/09/2018 09:19

Mine goes out at night but if she was 15 and shitting everywhere I'd presume she was coming to the end of her time and I'd get a litter tray.

KataraJean · 06/09/2018 09:21

Our cat came ‘litter-trained’, so that is just what we have always had.

Igneococcus · 06/09/2018 09:24

Our cat came home with a bat a few nights ago, I'm pretty sure it was dead already when he found it though.

JuneOsbourne · 06/09/2018 09:29

Great article on the double standards. Janice continues to nail it in this issue.

But I also raised an eyebrow at the cat thing. You can't lock an ill elderly cat outside all night fgs. Just get a litter tray!

KittyKlawsReturns · 06/09/2018 09:35

My cat adores being out at night - she then sleeps all day. I prefer this as the little madam is nosy and has been locked in people's garages a few times, once for 4 days. She does have a covered litter tray in the house - not that she uses it often.

As always it is good to see Janice calling out the discrepancies in how this 'scandal' would have played out for anyone else in politics and how it has been downplayed by both the Greens and certain media outlets.

bigKiteFlying · 06/09/2018 09:44

It's brilliant she keeps asking pertinent questions around this subject - and yes she is absolutely right about the Greens and the media coverage.

I wonder if she's used a deodour spray- if not first accidental then it could be smelling like place cat needs to go. Though those lemon scented wipes can also put them off going where you don’t want.

Though I don’t get the anti-litter tray thing – there are loads out there one with hoods and even charcoal filters and many different types of litter. If the cat won’t use at all people like Jaxson Galaxy on you tube often have good tips.

I agree some pressure needs to go in Stonewall's direction. That's a house of cards in waiting.

Isn't it? Stonewall either need to start acknowledging reality and acting like they give a shit or their house of cards is going to come tumbling down.

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 06/09/2018 11:16

True, foxes are predators. I think round our way they mainly go for chickens and rabbits.
When I say my cats have always gone a hunting, they only rarely catch anything. Too fat and lazy!
I don't read newspaper opinion pieces except Janice, via here, and she is great- fearless and straight to the point.
