I've never been protected by a man in all my life. Led into danger by them, yes.

Oh dear bob. I have never had a man protect me, to the extent that an ex raped me whilst we were together and another ex would walk too fast for me to keep up and, as a consequence, I was taken for being on my own and street harassed when out with him in a foreign city. When people talk about "men protecting women", we should ask "protecting from what? tigers? rabid wolves?" because the answer that no one wants to admit to is that the only thing attacking women in Europe and most of North America is men.

Id like a tazer, glowing nimbus and ability to levitate
much more useful

Never mind what he's like in the sack, what I wanted to know a propos of episode 2 was "can he make a decent cup of tea?"

(The Telegraph's review was a hoot - it ended with "All together now: And I I I I I will always love yoooouuuu... ")

Theworldisfullofgs · 01/09/2018 00:00

Ability to make a good cup of tea v important.

It's interesting the stereotypes that get reinforced...but then that's Laura Perrins..

^^Never knowingly had my back, no matter what their relationship to me. On balance, ready to throw me under a bus, Room 101 me if it spared them a moment's discomfort.

It's a known unreliability - the problem is when people buy into the social mythology around this.
