(Clearly a lot of confusion by the public, mind you I probably would be if I hadn't been able to think it through via mn.)

Prevailing understanding seems to be that trans = operation etc. And that women must make way, as per usual.
But articles like this - littered with key labels such as phobic, purile, disgusting hatred - are persuasive to those looking to find out more. If I'd read this a few years ago I'd have been stumped. I may have googled more to try to understand.
