What a shame that the talk has been cancelled on safety grounds. It shows what bullies TRAs and their handmaidens are.

This is the same state where a woman criticising a transwoman sexual offender going to a woman's jail on a btl comment was hunted down, doxxed and publicly fried because she's a teacher.

Just for full background, the American College of Pediatrics (not to be confused with the American Academy of Pediatrics which is the actual professional body for paediatricians in the US) is a right wing organisation who oppose abortion, gay adoption and advocate for "abstinence only sex education" (aka sky-rocketing rates of teen pregnancy).

Doesn't mean that their individual members can't be good medics or scientists, or be right about trans issues, but people on the thread may wish to be aware of the provenance.

That could never happen. Everyone knows that transfolk are gentle and kind and the most victimised people on the planet who want only to use bathrooms that match their identity.

It's clear that the doctor has an agenda and a massive axe to grind. However it is no different from trans fetishists putting out 'studies' on trans breast feeding or whatever else.

If you thought your profession is producing results in line with where the money is coming from, isn't that a decent reaction to have?

Good point, thebewilderness. But it seems that important distinction escaped those who think violence is a response to an idea they disagree with.

The claim that you hate prostituted women if you oppose sex trafficking.
The claim that you hate workers if you oppose sweat shops.
The claim that you hate children if you oppose child labor.
The claim that you hate transgenders if you oppose transitioning.

This is a pattern that we all need to be aware of. It tells us a great deal about the person using the tactic.
