I thought it would be useful to have a resource thread dedicated to one topic with limited discussion but lots of useful quotes, facts and links. A nice little grab and go if you will.

This thread is dedicated to information regarding transwomen being housed in women’s prisons.

Feel free to add brief descriptions and links so this information can all be corralled into one resource.

I don't necessarily think they made the stories up, no. I just know that they have been notorious for inaccurate reporting in the past and don't want things to get derailed by TRAs picking apart the articles you post!

At the time of posting it was the only source I had. More publications covered it afterward.

Lauren Jeska

In September 2016 Jeska pleaded guilty to attempted murder of Ralph Knibbs, plus two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Begley and Taylor, and weapons charges for knife possession.

Is currently at HMP Foston Hall, a women's prison.

And Leverton (a male identifying as a woman) convicted of having extreme inages of child abuse in July last year where the judge was actualy livid that sentencing meant that jail was pointless as the max was 12 months in jail, reduced to 8 for a guilty plea, but would only serve 4. I don't know why one trans woman is with women and one is with men.

You know what the common theme is? These people were all born men. You don't see people who have transitioned from female to male doing this? It is violent and sexual offenses associated with males. All of the names speak for themselves.

And every single one is in a women's prison with vulnerable and already traumatised women who have most probably been victimised by men at multiple points in their lives.
