This is a really good interview, Anne speaks about her work as a councillor & what led to her resignation, as well as lots of other interesting information around her views on the GRA, trans issues & how they impact women's rights etc.

Definitely worth a watch.

Yes thanks for doing it. It's good to see and hear someone speak for themselves.

I'm sure the Lib Dems will be keen to win the by-election. Can't help feeling that resigning opens the way for either another male labour councillor or SB back on the Council. Hope she will use her platform to be just as, if not more, effective than she could've been as a local councillor.

As expected...

Thank you Leia for posting this excellent interview. I work in Cambridgeshire with vulnerable adults so I am going to have to write to the council on back of this interview. What are the LA going to do about this breach of the Equalities Act? Surely the legislation can not be considered valid until a consultation and equality impact assessment is carried out? Do they understand the reasons/differences for Protected Characteristics? (apparently not)

As to the Lib Dem tweet above, bitheby... ffs. I wouldn't let them run a bath. Not a solitary critical thought evident amongst them.

Also going to have to subscribe to DrRadFem on Youtube as I really miss her contributions (and sadly many other fab rad femmes on Twitter)

Just want to point out the Lib Dem
LGBT account is run by the LGBT exec and isn't an 'official' Lib Dem mouthpiece as such. Brian Paddick resigned from this group recently.

I am a party member and yet am often dismayed by the tone of this twitter account.

Hmm, yeah social media often does a very poor impression of people IRL that I know from LD, Labour and Green Parties...
