Yet another Labour Party woman MP under threat

They really don't like or support women do they? Especially women who have the temerity to call men out about abuse:

TImes article here:

WTF are the Joseph Rowntree Trust doing, going against someone who spoke out against child grooming gangs?

FermatsTheorem · 25/07/2018 15:55

Yes, I was going to start a thread about that article.

Basically the Momentum Dude Bros are gunning for everyone who is either (a) a woman and or (b) not totally, uncritically pro-Corbyn.

arranfan · 25/07/2018 15:56

Precisely my shocked reaction, UC!

If you can't trust the Joseph Rowntree people just who is there left?

TruthOrLiars · 25/07/2018 17:47

They don't like the inconvenient truth. They don't like it when people point out males aren't women to many people. They don't like the fact many gangs have been convicted. It makes you wonder why Momentum are keen to remove safeguards and women who tell the truth in these matters.

WhereDoWeBeginToCovetClarice · 25/07/2018 18:09

How can we offer these women solidarity and support?

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 25/07/2018 18:16

This is a big deal. The left puts Muslim men above their underage victims and those people living in the affected communities and angered by it, who used to be natural Labour voters, have no place to turn politically.

My DSD spent her late teens in Southall. She used to sound like an EDL member until you heard what she was experiencing all the time from men who had recently arrived in this country and found an attractive young blonde woman with her own car a total affront.

Until this culture clash is addressed it can't be resolved. And it is culture, not race. You never get reports of Sikh grooming gangs.

placemats · 25/07/2018 18:16

By posting on Mumsnet and offering them support.

I stand by you Sarah Champion

WhereDoWeBeginToCovetClarice · 25/07/2018 18:35

I stand by you too, Sarah Champion.

You stood by young, exploited girls.

No more of this forced politically correct position for marking and punishing women which allows men the freedom to behave appallingly.

No more witch hunts.

Bowlofbabelfish · 25/07/2018 18:55

This is what happens when the left ‘victim ladder.’ By that I mean they rank groups according to victim status. Women and children are always, always at the bottom of this ladder. Men are higher up, men who are religious as well.

You can see this is the way papers like the guardian covered things like the sex assaults in Germany and Vienna over new year, or in the Charlie hebdo case (where one op-ed opined that it was the west’s fault for ‘alienating’ young men into following an extremist strain of their religion. Or the Rotherham case where girls were ‘no angels’ and ‘child prostitutes.’

There is no such thing as a child prostitute - it’s child abuse and child rape.

By putting a group over another group in a victim ladder, you discount any genuine grievances the lower group has and you are unable to call out bad behaviour and abuse.

So I also stand with Sarah champion.

Yorkshire is completely fucked, isn’t it?

enoughisenough12 · 25/07/2018 19:48

Interesting article in the Guardian:
(there's a real irony in them publishing it given their recent history of silencing women but they do of late seem to have started to rectify this. Maybe all the cancelled subscriptions are having an impact).

Labour. For the men, not the few.

OlennasWimple · 25/07/2018 20:03

I'm writing this carefully, but it's worth googling a couple of the names that come up in the Time article alongside "Tommy Robinson" to understand something of what is (allegedly) happening in Rotherham but cannot be reported freely by the MSM until after the trials are completed

Gacapa · 25/07/2018 20:16

A family member works in child protection in Bradford and she has pleaded with her son and his wife to move elsewhere. She is adamant that her granddaughters will not be safe. The CSE of white girls is rife according to her. She looks haunted.

My experience is that the Labour Party relies heavily on the votes from Muslim communities. It’s out of the question to stir anything up.

Indeed, Yorkshire is fucked.

Crazy3 · 25/07/2018 21:27

What about writing to our own M.P. To say how disgusted we are at Sarah’s treatment. Also that if they want our vote she had better be offered her job back.

QuarksandLeptons · 25/07/2018 21:33

“What about writing to our own M.P. To say how disgusted we are at Sarah’s treatment. Also that if they want our vote she had better be offered her job back.”

Great idea. I’m going to do this

AngryAttackKittens · 25/07/2018 21:34

I actually heard women I know taking the "she's a disgusting racist and there's no other reason anyone could want to talk about the grooming gangs" line. It's alarming how thoroughly indoctrinated young people have been into the idea that being part of a group that's discriminated against means you can't ever be at fault, and if you are it's better that it isn't talked about too much.

enoughisenough12 · 25/07/2018 21:43

We are seeing a massive increase in the demonisation of women daring to highlight issues of safeguarding. It is unforgivable for political parties to collude in silencing women about this issue. If the safety and welfare of children isn't the highest priority in a society, then that society is finished - and at the moment the rights of men (all sorts of men) are being actively promoted over the rights and safety of children in a sinister and deeply oppressive manner.

YY.

Crazy3 · 25/07/2018 21:59

That’s what I’ve just done anyway. Let’s see her offered her front bench position back.

Crazy3 · 25/07/2018 22:00

Pester powerSmile

arranfan · 25/07/2018 22:04

Labour. For the men, not the few.

or,

Labour for the men - not the few.

(To be understood that Labour is an exhortative verb there).

Aneurin · 25/07/2018 23:08

I usually just lurk on here as I lack the intelligence to offer anything constructive to the debate, but this has spurred me on. I've cancelled my membership of Labour and told the misogynistic anti-Semites exactly why.

WhereDoWeBeginToCovetClarice · 26/07/2018 00:31

I don't want to be too outing, but there are certain male labour counsellors in my area who don't do anything, but because they are able to rally support from their religious group, they are pretty much guaranteed seats in the council. It is very troubling that religious groups appear to have more sway in labour than unions. But mustn't talk about it of course.

OnThisHill · 26/07/2018 02:33

Rotherham does not equal Yorkshire!

Sarah Champion has a majority of 11, 000, increased by 4% & twice the votes of the Tories.

I would be very surprised, if Momentum were to make this about race, which it looks like - that Sarah would not prevail.

She has done phenomenal work on this issue and is very well respected, largely but not just because of this.

I stand with Sarah Champion
