The BBC have appointed a Global Gender and Identity Correspondent

Megha Mohan has announced her new post on her Twitter account

'Thrilled to start as the BBC’s first global Gender & Identity Correspondent, reporting on issues concerning women, sexuality, race etc.'

It's possible that 'gender and identity' may not turn out be quite what some are imagining.

They've probably just looked at how much space in mainstream and social meia and so on this all takes up these days, and realised they need at least lucky person to be dedicated to it, just to keep on top of all the different threads.

Maybe she has cause to be snippy. One of the tweets asked if she is one of the BBCs trans employees. When a quick google can easily answer that question ... no. But she may be someone who understands issues concerning women, race... for example

I like that she stood up to Dr Christian for missing the point of her article.
