I just saw this on Twitter, but I can't read the article. My feelings on transing children of any age are no secret, but it's the 'from birth' in the headline that caught my eye.

I mean, that is straight up a parental decision there, isn't it? Does anyone believe this is anything to do with reality or actual child welfare?

I can't read it either, but on the face if it it seems a gift for parents who want a child of a specific sex - got a girl but wanted a boy? Simples! Change the sex. Job done.

I’ve dead a few articles on this md all have been frustratingly vague on what’s actually meant. There’s no clarification on whether this means altered birth certificates, administrative self declaration, access to affirmative therapy, access to blockers or access to cross sex hormones and crucially at what age.

There also seems to have been no consultation before making this edict.

And yes from birth?? Ffs that’s hardly open to abuse is it, I mean what could possibly go wrong..? 🤦🏻‍♀️
