They were my male DP, a gay male friend and a straight female friend. All were . The conversation included gender neutral toilets and here my gay male friend really disappointed me. He couldn't see the problem because
A) you all use cubicles anyway so no one can see what you're doing in there
And
B) you get pervy women too you know!

I think this protest is proving to be another cold shower that wakes a lot of people up. I only use Facebook for saying hello to my aunties once a week and organising family dos but even my feed is full of people saying "Eh? Pride tried to chuck women out for saying lesbians = female homosexuals? What the what?"

I was confused during the #metoo disclosures, how did some women remember that level of detail for men acting inappropriately? I remember the worst but there's been so so many occasions when men have made me feel uncomfortable due to the way they have acted or what they have said.

I've had disagreements with women, had at least one female boss I profoundly disliked, really not keen on some of the stepford wives I know but never has a woman acted in a way that made me feel sexually uncomfortable even inadvertently

So technically what your friend said is true but so rare the majority of us have never encountered a pervy woman and yet most of us can't count the number of (unwilling) encounters we've had with pervy men.

YY. 45 years on the planet & not once have I ever come across a woman/lesbian who made me feel uncomfortable. I've lost count of the number of men who have. I'm sure someone will be along to describe a scenario where a lesbian has made them uncomfortable but I think given the stats on sexually motivated crimes & the number of women I know/have spoken to/post on social media saying what I've said, the numbers in comparison to men are vanishingly small.

The most 'woke' colleague in the office was 'peak transed' by the reaction to the Pride 'protest'. The very idea that 'lesbian' is not equal to 'female homosexual' Does. Not. Compute.

The biggest problem is that it's being spun as "TERFS disrupt Pride to spread anti trans hate".
When it's pointed out that the truth is "LESBIANS protest the cotton ceiling at pride" people do tend to see it a little differently.

Also, if women are pervy then why would men want them in their toilets?
