But not transwoman, obviously.

This is a response to the Trade unionists' piece in the Morning Star.
In making use of a rhetoric style that maintains a division between trans women and “women” the signatories of that letter are contributing for the segregation and oppression of trans folk, even if that may not be their intention.

Wow. If anyone tries that construct here, I suggest we report and ask it to be added to the T&Gs alongside 'cis', as it's doing the same sort of weaselly thing.

“When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less.”
“The question is,” said Alice, “whether you can make words mean so many different things.”
“The question is,” said Humpty Dumpty, “which is to be master—that’s all.”

Angry

Let me fix that, because it should read:

Women and "women"

Where the latter refers to the "women" born male.

Or you can keep writing women and trans women.

Your choice.
