Unless he's received some terrible abuse? He has a very senior position and has nothing to hide. Is this normal?

I assume he’s either said something idiotic and suffered a pile on or said something entirely reasonable and been set about by TRA’s?

The Clymer=Rosa Parks twonk now has his tweets protected, but I don’t recognise that guy as having said anything either way recently.

Ollie is a transadvocate tho

That should be two words I guess. He is very supportive of the trans community.

In that case I assume he’s said something ridiculous and been called on it. No it’s not normal for someone with a senior position to have their tweets protected as they shouldn’t be tweeting anything that doesn’t stand up to public scrutiny.

Thanks - it seems very extraordinary to me but it's not my world so I'm not sure of my judgement here

I found this. I assume he has been targeted by TRA’s for going off script. I remember this now, didn’t connect that it was the same person.

Good spot

I saw that original tweet and wondered whether there would be a pile on - he's an influential policy maker.

Perhaps promises have been made which it has proved impossible to keep

It's evident there's been a lot of private conversations, deals being done and agreements in secret happening with the favoured few. Now of course, with the oxygen of publicity exposing the wholesale erosion of women's rights and the risks to children, the rest of society gets to have their say - and increasingly society doesn't seem to be impressed with what's on offer. Funny that.

I'm the one that exposed his silly tweet but never got sanctioned for it, and maybe that's why transville went after me. They had to get me suspended SOMEhow.

He’s a civil servant? In that case he should be politically impartial at his level - certainly shouldn’t be publicly getting into internet arguments pro- or anti-government policy. So protecting his tweets probably sensible in that case.
