Both sport-related.

The first is about Serena Williams seeding after maternity leave ...darn, I can't get a link for that now.

And the other is Camilla Long's column on World Cup reporting which has a phrase or two I want to borrow

Good for Camilla Long. Mind you, one of my criteria for choosing male companions has always been that they weren't football fans. Bores me to sobs.

I read the Serena Williams article. It's an excellent point isn't it? There should be mechanisms to prevent athletes being disadvantaged when they have a child

or as Kelner might put it, footballeress

LOL!

Thank you Errol

There's this story as well - a legal challenge to the Scottish government about their dreadful guidelines:

Of course, it's a religious organisation that has access to funding to challenge this...

I actually bought a subscription to the Times due to the fact they will publish these articles. I shall renew it too.

That Camilla Long piece is great. V funny.

I dislike men's football much of the time - the cheating and rolling around on the floor like a gigantic toddler gets my blood pressure up - have never played football, but funnily enough, as an intelligent woman (I like to think) who can work out what tactics are, I often say what the commentators say just before they say it. It's not rocket science
