Sorry, I am late posting this as they are looking for signatures by tomorrow (though possibly even late signatures are helpful). This is the link to the petition (and suggested other actions) standwithsaudifeminists.org/take-action/

and this is the background information (feminists are being targetted there, unsurprisingly):

"After nearly three decades of struggle for women’s rights as well as feminist campaigning in Saudi Arabia, the ban on women driving will be lifted on June 24, 2018. ...

As June 24 approached, and excitement inside the country became palpable, Saudi authorities cracked down on feminist activists and campaigners, both women and men, who have led the fight for the basic right to drive a car. Some were rounded up and thrown in jail on May 15 while others were placed under a travel ban shortly after. Another wave of arrests followed on June 6, adding to the precarity that Saudi Arabian citizens have to endure. "

They returned my email when I used the web form so its best to use your own email.

louiseaaa · 22/06/2018 17:42

Done. I lived in the Middle East as a child and my mother refused to live in saudi with dad because of the way that they treated women there back in the 1980's. (I didn't understand at the time)

With my paranoid security hat on, I'd suggest a throwaway email account to sign that. Noting some of the people listed on the website as UK supporters, are they running it or just early signers? I'm not sure, but I wouldn't want them to have the email address that I use elsewhere, in case they try to use it to match twitter account to real name. (Yes, you can tighten your twitter setrtngs to prevent email-based lookups, but if you or twitter make a mistake, you're screwed. Swiss cheese and all that.

I’ve just been reading about this in the Economist, it seems that the progressive crown prince is also pretty authoritarian at the same time. They suggest that he wants things like women being allowed to drive to be seen as a gift from the Saudi royal family.
