Article in an Irish paper on transition and regret

It's unusual to see any sort of negative press coverage re transition in Irish papers, especially something making the front page. I know it's the Irish version of the DM but all the same it sounds as though there are concerns emerging about post transition regrets.

The Irish Mail on Sunday articles are usually published (don't know how much they're changed) a day or two after on extra.ie

It wasn't talked about at all before they brought in self id and I'd say a lot of people don't know about it but that documentary they had on RTE a few weeks ago about young transgender people and having them on the late late has probably started to open up the conversation

Ah great thanks miri. It's an interesting article, highlighting that mental health issues are often present but that are typically blamed on trying to live your life as a transgender person, rather than, in some cases, being issues that were there pre transition and may even have driven the individual to take action they would not otherwise have taken.
