Welsh Sex Ed curriculum now including gender identity

This has been announced in the last week or so. I welcome compulsory sex Ed but this jumped out at me:

‘Under reforms announced today, sex and relationships education (SRE) will be broadened to include issues such as gender identity, sexting, and online safety, the Welsh Government said’

I’m not a teacher so anyone able to offer any opinion on how this is likely to be received? I googled the chair and she writes a lot about queer and gender theory.

How to teach facts of life, sex, sex dynamics, when you can't talk about sex, biology etc.

There was talk (elsewhere) of an inclusive route that decoupled the parts from the sex of the owner.

Also not sure how they will do any of the "separate the boys and girls" pieces. "poeple with cunts this way, people with cocks that way"?

Menstruators - will that put in an appearance again? Non prostate havers? Maybe it will go down the "boys and non boys" route.

I see this as a positive step. Gender identity is such a woolly ill-defined concept that it would be good to see a definition nailed down. If as suspected we end up with schools being told to teach children that if you like barbies and pink you might be a girl even if you have a pens then it's just more arrows in our quiver to show how sexist and regressive the whole shebang is.

*pens = penis.

If this rubbish is still going on in a few years time, I will be teaching my daughter the whole shebang before the school or anyone else (people with fish tails UK) "teaches" her
