What do you think are the biggest issues for women of today to deal with and attempt to change and what triumphs from the past (can go as far back as you like) are you the most proud/happiest about being born into or witnessing in your lifetime?

Issues:

1. Self ID. I won't explain further as it's been extensively covered.
2. Continuation of rape culture and slut shaming of female sexuality.
3. Inequality in the workplace including pay gap and going back to work without being demoted after children.

Triumphs:

1. Women's vote.
2. Right to work especially in traditional male industries.

Biggest issues;

1. Economic inequality/austerity

1. Self ID/identity politics/individualism

1. Cultural ideas about and enforcement of gender roles by the structures of society.

Triumphs;

Self-id and erasure of women
Sexual assault including sentencing
Internet porn
Focus on appearance
General impact of mothering on work/pay

Triumphs:

Biggest issues

Worldwide: Rape, sexual assault and abuse, child marriage, men’s entitlement to women’s bodies.

Worldwide: maternal mortality rates even though they have been improved tremendously they are still too high in countries where there’s rural poverty.

UK, US, Canadá, Europe: self ID as it relates to refuges, hospital wards, girl guides, schools, sports.

Biggest triumphs
