Given that MPs are debating this topic, would this be a good time for a peaceful demonstration to signal to MPs that we are worried about the upcoming erasure of women bill

I think it would be much more powerful to support it. There should be a day for this.

No one is trying to erase women. Stop using that sort of alarmist language.

TRAs are trying to erase women. They send out tweets to "TERFs" saying "Enjoy your erasure". How can you deny make such a claim?

International Women's Day would be a more appropriate day to raise awareness about the erasure of women.

We had that recently and I think good work was done.

Well I'm dreading what obnoxious crap is going to be discussed and put forward in that 3-hour debate. But, Okay, I'll shut up about it now.

Minerva, LGBTalphabetsoup almost always seems to equal trans nowadays (and I'm a lesbian). Of course homophobia & biphobia are shit but I doubt either of them will get a look in next to transphobia.

Especially since many aspects of trans rights activism are homophobic. Such as attacking lesbians for being same-sex attracted, & campaigning for social transing and puberty blockers for GNC kids when 80% of them, if left to it, would be likely to grow up LGB.

I think they are very legitimate issues. You may have seen my previous posts where I have highly praised many transexuals and have enormous sympathy for them.

As far as homosexuality goes, I am disgusted with the way lesbians are being marginalised and targeted by TRAs. Like women in general, they are being erased. Rapid onset is leading to a generation of lesbians being erased.

To be honest, I don't understand why homophobia and transphobia are joined together in this way on the same day. And when did the issue of misogeny ever get a three-hour debate in parliament?

Nobody cares about homophobia towards lesbians, because they're only women.

Transgenderism IS homophobic so I don't know how they're going to square that circle

Based on the amount of lesbian and bisexual women in the "terf" camp (and a few gay men too), I think supporting it, but making our problems with TRA very clear would be more productive?

I'd also support actual transphobia (aka plain old homophobia and misogyny, but ) being talked about.

Saying males cannot become females is not transphobic though, so I'd hope it isn't given any airtime (one can dream...)

And on a similar note, someone refusing to have sex with you because you don't meet their preferences is not biphobic (or transphobic)
