Lobby Parliament to make TERF Hate Speech

I'm sick of TERF getting a free pass whilst saying things which are scientifically true - like Trans-Identified Male is now being considered hate speech.

It's time we fought back! This campaign could really shine a light on the vile misogyny associated with such a word. If people knew they'd be shocked and they might start to view this debate in a whole new light.

If people don't understand what I mean see this thread.

I have no idea how to do something like this but if anybody has a lobbying/law background your feedback would be much appreciated.

I don't know how to go about it either but I think you're right. TERF may have started off as merely a descriptive acronym but it's now used as an aggressive slur by people who think women should just put up and shut up. It would help if the population at large were made aware that the term even exists. Most would be shocked to hear the way it's used, not to mention the threats and insults that so often come with it.

It would show the misogyny of many TIM's and make people think twice about the debate.

Thinking on the Nottingham police thread, perhaps women in Nottingham can report hate crime when they see it bandied about here or on twitter?

Apparently TERF was first used as a descriptor by Viv Smythe, a liberal feminist, relatively recently. There never has been a self designated TERF movement or group. It seems to have been a slur more or less from the start.

I don't know ow these things are decided by when a word is used so often in conjunction with things like 'scum' 'die' and 'punch' it should be a pretty open and shut case. Does anyone know anybody with a law background or any information about this subject?
