This has been absolutely dreadful to watch. Mocking FGM. Saying they're going to buy a golliw*g and name it after her. And the victim got a 12-hour suspension for telling them they were deranged?

Twitter needs to sort itself out.

She needs to report it as a racist "hate incident" and for malicious communications. If it can be applied to Posie Parker it can certainly be applied to this.

I hope she has. But I was astonished to see that this very person abusing her had the gall to report Jana to Twitter! And they upheld the complaint of the abuser! Between this and Wikipedia, the online world seems to have gone mad.

I'm appalled by twitter's response to this.

It isn't just Twitter is it, it's facebook, tumblr, every single political party, workplaces, swimming pools, sporting events. Every single one centering men and men's needs and keeping women down. This is why we must all be brave and speak up and out, all the time. We can be polite and calm when we do so, we have to be, can't have uppity women.
