Rude messages from Labour representative re: GRC

I recently received a phone call enquiring why I cancelled my membership. I stated it was due to issues I have with the party's policy on the GRA and was told I'd be provided with an email address to address my local representative about my concerns. I received no such email so messaged my local Labour party page to request it. Here is the exchange:

Try reading between the lines, anne.

Shorter Labour Party: "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

I agree with some of the PPs and even having read the messages twice now I don’t quite see the issue with their replies, other than they are perhaps a bit vague. Hard to see though without the full transcripts from both sides (but I am by no means suggesting you share these). Perhaps it’s and issue of expectations-for example if you were a long standing member of the party then I imagine you’d expect the party to be keen to engage and understand why you’ve rescinded your membership.

I'd be interested to see if you got the same sort of reply if your message appeared to have come from a man.

Maybe I'm wrong, but somehow I doubt it.

Elen I agree.

The only answer is 'you're welcome to do what you want, but I won't be voting for it, or funding the party any longer'.
