Anyone heard of this? Have been reading an article and it’s quite fascinating. Some central themes which remind me of the whole self ID debate.

So some schools in America want to start teaching a crazy type of creationism rather than scientific fact and a guy writes a letter saying that if schools were going to teach creationism he also wanted an equal amount of timetabled teaching time for learning about the Flying Spaghetti Monster which is equally as valid as creationism.

I particularly like this;

the Flying Spaghetti Monster is often used as a contemporary version of Russell's teapot—an argument that the philosophic burden of proof lies upon those who make unfalsifiable claims, not on those who reject them.

Never heard of Russell’s teapot before.

Anyway this Spaghetti monster has become so popular it’s now a recognised religion in the Netherlands and New Zealand. I’m off to buy a t-shirt.

I have found my people.

We will merely consume the earthly shell of the sausage whilst the true sausagidity shall ascend to Offler.

If we're having rat, I'll bring extra ketchupGrin.
