Anyone here Graham Norton today on 'Forgotten Women': the bravest being...a man?

I heard a bit of the Graham Norton radio show today. There was an author on it called Zing Tsjeng who is writing a series of books on 'Forgotten Women. Great I thought. The author highlighted one particular women who had fought against the odds - Sylvia Rivera who was a man who underwent no gender reassignment. She went on to talk about how men get more credit for work than a woman would - apparently with no sense of irony. Graham and Zing then mentioned that the first Britain in space was a woman, but neither could remember her name. My 9 year old had to shout it at the radio.

Anyway, not a debate, I've just been stewing on it for the past 3 hours!

I just read this aloud and even my 13yo DS laughed hysterically.

What fucking planet are we on?

I'm off to google to find out what on earth that can mean. What a ridiculous conceit.

I'm was listening to the same thing and so wanted Graham Norton to challenge her. But of course not.
To be fair, he DID know the name of the first woman in space.

Well at least this person sounds like they like admire and get women.

Obviously better to see a woman get an award meant for women but this particular mtf sounds like a better person than the crew that think we women are stale.

He only knew the astronaut's name when his producer told him. I would have expected the author to know though.

OK, I didn't get that.

Just had a peek at the author's twitter feed... what a self promotor she is with her wacky poses 'V' fingers aloft and sticky out tongue.
Oh and reminding the BBC that she is a media savvy, pro trans, cis woman commentator available for bookings Hmm

Wow, that is incredibly insulting.
