They are the ones who have men and non-men aren't they?

TerfyMcTerface · 08/03/2018 10:28

Yes, the “women of all genders” are either “men” or “non-men” according to the Greens.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 08/03/2018 10:29

I was a Green until they told me I was a non-man

Now I'm a non-green non-man

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 08/03/2018 10:37

Oh the Greens are fucking awful.

And don't get me started on Partick Harvie

TERFragetteCity · 08/03/2018 10:38

This is the non-resident party yes?

A huge fuck you from me. Stick your genders where the sun will never shine.

TERFragetteCity · 08/03/2018 10:38

Non-red party.

GrooovyLass · 08/03/2018 10:41

Ah, I had hoped that they would be the way to go.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 08/03/2018 11:03

Yeah they seem to be a lost cause.
Non-men Angry

Ritzsaltedcrackers · 08/03/2018 11:10

Patrick Harvie of the Scottish Greens is well known up here as an odious misogynist.

Patodp · 08/03/2018 11:14

Nope.
They have "exclusionary card" that you can hold up during meetings when you're a member.

One meeting they were discussing their position on UK abortion laws. So far so good. Uses terms like "women who fall pregnant through rape or incest...."

One person in the audience, a young female blue haired lady, holds up this card saying "excuse me but men can get pregnant too. You'll need to change your terminology."
The green party spokespeople all look at her smiling, nod in agreement. This was told by someone I know.

The green party have a custom of asking "Can we hear from women please? We've so far only heard from men" if this is the case (which tends to happen).

I heared about this on Twitter but a man in the audience puts us his hand after this request and calls out "I identify as a woman, but present as male" and goes on to ask his question. No one blinks...

Ereshkigal · 08/03/2018 11:19

Yes I read about that on FB, and there was a comment underneath by some other male twit saying that it was "a beautiful moment" or some nonsense.

Childrenofthestones · 08/03/2018 13:04

Can I just ask, you do realise that this is the future of the left.
No matter where you run to, if you run to another party on the left the translobby will find you.
I think the sooner people realise this the better.

LassWiADelicateAir · 08/03/2018 13:12

Indeed. I am confident that no one at a Conservative party meeting would have interrupted a conversation about abortion to say excuse me but men can get pregnant too. You'll need to change your terminology.

TrumpsToddlerTantrums · 08/03/2018 14:16

Thanks for sharing. You've reminded me that I really needed to cancel my membership and give to Woman's Place UK instead.

Goldmonday · 08/03/2018 15:02

FUCK OFF

Why aren't we allowed ANYTHING, to celebrate ANYTHING to fight for ANYTHING without it being told to "remember that not all women have vaginas!!!!!"

On our own fucking day, our ONE day of the year we are told what to do and how to think in the exact same dogmatic and belligerent manner which lead us to NEEDING said day in the first place.

Why have women's rights now become a platform for this. Woman's rights are different from men-who-want-to-be-a-woman's rights.

Every single place and space that we have is being infested with this cancerous tripe, it's inescapable and it's fucking terrifying.

BlindYeo · 08/03/2018 15:13

Completely agree children

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 08/03/2018 15:34

Patrick Harvie is a patronising misogynistic prick. I used to think great things of the Greens but I am another who has resigned from the party due to this.

Mner · 08/03/2018 16:34

I am tied in to help with the next elections but will be stepping down from the committee shortly after and then from membership as well partly over this and partly over constantly being dragged into doing more than I agreed to do...

But I am at a loss re who to actually vote for....

Babdoc · 08/03/2018 16:40

The Greens are already hated in Scotland by all Unionists, as they’re the only party keeping the minority SNP separatists in power!
As a lifelong Tory, I despair at some of the misogynist claptrap spewed out by both the Greens and Labour. They seem to have been completely hijacked by the trans movement - I suppose they think it’s trendy. Sigh.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 08/03/2018 16:40

But I am at a loss re who to actually vote for...

I'm having this dilemma too Sad

BigDeskBob · 08/03/2018 16:50

Why didn't they just say 'happy international women's day'? And leave it at that?

By saying cis, trans... they made it all about trans. But I suspect that was the point.

OneFlewOverTheDodosNest · 08/03/2018 16:53

We've got a lot of independent candidates, plus the Marijuana Legalisation campaign and the Yorkshire Independence Party (yes seriously... ) so I'll be voting for one of them. I'd be fully supportive of a single issue party on this if we could get the momentum in time.

LizzieSiddal · 08/03/2018 17:13

It would be funny if it wasn’t so utterly pathetic!

PumpPumpItUp · 08/03/2018 17:14

"Women of all genders"

That doesn't even mean anything. "Cis" and "trans" aren't genders by their own deranged definitions. This should piss off trans people as much as the geder critical Fucking idiots.

The whole thing reads as "this is all nonsense but we know you'll like it, so fuck it, let's pander to the teenage vote".
