I agree, I think if someone saw BrewDog had a bottle that says " beer for girls " on a shelf with no explanation as to the meaning behind it, it's going to do their brand a lot more harm than good.

I wonder if one of the people behind this is gender critical. The whole thing of selling it cheaper to anyone who identifes as a woman might peaktrans a lot of people, once they see self ID being abused.

Pink (punk) IPA is lovely, do try it.

I'm generally a brewdog supporter but am undecided on this, mainly due to equating pink with women although I get it's to fit in instead of punk , and the email I got does say "beer for women" not "beer for girls".You do them a disservice by talking about girls.
I like them supporting the charity women in engineering though.

Have just noticed their website calls it "beer for girls" in smallprint. I hate people in male dominated industries calling women girls.

I like the quip someone made on twitter that they should have called it Emmeline Punkhurst and avoided a lot of the flak.

I could tell you a story or two over how BrewDog are utter bastards. At least one of them I can't put here because they could try and take legal action. Which given the person involved probably would make his day, but I can't afford the legal bills.

Put simply, they dont give a shit about people. This isn't a shock to me.

I think the price difference is simply meant to highlight that women are paid less, I've heard of a restaurant doing a similar thing, but they've fucked up by including self-ID. Women are paid less because of our sex, we can't identify out of the pay gap.

But yes, I expect some men may identify as women to get the cheaper price and highlight the nonsense of self-ID.

You can't advertise 'beer for girls'. Beer is for adults, and you aren't allowed to market it to under 18s in any way.
Quick report to Advertising Standards Agency may be on the cards.
