He was 15 at the time. I think there are a lot of people who wouldn't want things they wrote then to be exposed now.

Lily claims their brother set it up. Because, reasons.

Their brother denies this.

AngryAttackKittens · 21/02/2018 01:47

Boys who joke about often grow up to be a danger to women, and definitely should not be representing women in the Labour party. This is not in the category of behaviors that can be shrugged off as youthful hijinks.

TheButterflyOfTheStorms · 21/02/2018 02:22

How many female representatives in the Labour party made jokes about rape and child abuse, and three years later were meeting Corbyn?

TheButterflyOfTheStorms · 21/02/2018 02:25

And it's not actually about Lily, who I think is probably going to regret a lot of what is currently happening. I blame the Labour Party, wanting so badly to be 'down with the kids' that their critical thinking is sorely lacking. Who in hell would put someone forward who was making racist jokes three years before (and had white skin) as a Black equalities officer. It wouldn't happen.

Ouchbirthhurted · 21/02/2018 08:42

Yes Butterfly the whole fiasco in the Labour Party has really damaged my view of their ability to think critically and act like adults.

nauticant · 21/02/2018 09:51

There's definitely room in the market for a bot to follow particular twitter accounts and to archive every single tweet in case they have a sudden deleting session (for example Toby Young).

There's already something similar for MPs:

LadyMcLadyCrisps · 21/02/2018 10:06

Where is the rape joke? Is it via that rape.com (chills going down my spine just writing that) link on the left? I dont know if I want to click it... Sad

Datun · 21/02/2018 10:27

Lily had a link to 'jimmy saviles apprentice' on their profile.

I don't think it linked to anything. Hence joke.

A creepy and misogynistic joke.

Xenophile · 21/02/2018 10:52

How many female representatives in the Labour party made jokes about rape and child abuse, and three years later were meeting Corbyn?

Also, how many 19 year old women's officers are there in the LP who are female? How many 19 yr old females are given this much platform and expenses paid trips within the LP?

Disgusting Sad

SofieMonde · 21/02/2018 11:10

@Juzza there was a famous family blogger who jokes about drugging his wife to make more babies, was never held accountable and his channel is watched by 100s of 1000s of young kids

FluffyBunyip · 21/02/2018 11:14

And we are seriously expected to believe this is now a WOMAN?
It really is beyond ridiculous.

BigEthel · 21/02/2018 11:20

"He was 15 at the time. I think there are a lot of people who wouldn't want things they wrote then to be exposed now."

That's usually mooning over some pop star or spouting pretentious statements about the state of the world, not joking about rape and one of the country's worst child abusers.
