Elendon I think I do get what you mean about not providing wank fodder for an obvious troll who was getting his jollies from winding up women.

But the thing is I actually think the #nodebate thing is so dangerous that I don't care how many boxes of kleenex the pervy fucker is getting through, we can't let this go unchallenged. Ever. Even at the expense of becoming complicit in some perve's wankathon.

But nonetheless. It has been a tough few weeks - the Rose McGowan incident, last week's Observer article saying "here, let's campaign to put a bloke who likes breaking into houses so he can wank into teenage girls' knickers,that would be the progressive thing to do, amirite?", WA (WA, ffs!) deciding that pandering to men's genderfeelz is more important than supporting women in absolutely desperate straits due to male violence. It just feels like the crap has ramped up to a whole new level of crazy. It is taking a toll on everyone I think, and I totally see why you want to draw a line in the sand and say "no pandering to these abusive men." For you, that line in the sand is letting them wind women up at will, for me that line in the sand is taking part in the #nodebate crap.

I think Elendon is feeling fucked off, as we all are, and misinterpreted Cankles.

yes, also to cankles and SchrodingersFrilledLizard. It sounds like things got pretty heated round here yesterday. I was busy 'living as a woman' (a.k.a looking after the kids while DH did one of his many time consuming activities) so missed it all.

I see the thread has reappeared now so about to settle down for a good read in a bit
