He's been playing for some months and has played 20 games. He played at school but gave up because he wasn't good enough to play with men.

The quote from the Canadian Women's Hockey league commissioner is infuriating

"This isn't about women's hockey or sports, really. It is about the strength [Platt] has for telling her story"

No, this is about women's sport, and specifically about how women are being pushed out by men!

It just stuns me how these cheating men can be so lauded and accepted.

This is all wrong. It makes me so angry. The way the narrative reads in that article, all about 'her' journey and bravery, not even an attempt by the journalist to look at the other side of the story and address the issue of those who have been through male puberty taking part in women's sport.

I wish the rest of the team would go on strike or something but it's Canada, isn't it, and they're well down the rabbit hole aren't they? I wonder how the rest of the team feel - do they secretly wonder who's next to be replaced by a strapping TIM?

So I did some digging, and found this article - there is a woman who is intending to transition, but has had to delay it because she won't be able to compete in the woman's league once she starts hormone treatment
