Enlightening article on 'whataboutery'

‘Whataboutery’ comes from a place of misogyny. An arrogant, derailing technique used to respond to a campaign, video, research study, intervention, organisation or communication that screams ‘I don’t care about women, talk about men!!’

I wanted to share this as I found it enlightening. The author has run a project helping vulnerable men and never been criticised for excluding women. The same is not the case for her work with women, when she has experienced abuse and criticism from all sides.

This article is getting shared absolutely everywhere!

Brilliant woman.

Some guy is trying to argue with me on another site that whataboutery happens way more often when people are talking about mens issues Hmm Apparently its impossible to discuss anything to do with supporting men without a bunch of women saying 'women are more oppressed, stop talking about male tears' and so on.

Bollocks to that.

That's a really interesting article.

Great article, thanks for sharing! It's interesting to get the perspective of someone involved in both male and female issues.

Some of the comments are terrible. The level of entitlement and stupidity of some of them is astounding.
