I thought this was an interesting read today, very US focussed, well, totally to be honest, and at times I wasn't sure what the argument was being made..... it's talking about misogyny on the left as well as the right.

But this sentence stood out for me. "... in the game of patriarchy, woman aren't the other team, they're the ball."

I'm currently mulling over that one. When the chips are down we're a resource .....? It feels more true now than ever in my experience. Maybe I'm just getting more pessimistic in my old age ...

Not pessimistic Cats just realistic.

Damn that line captures the truth we all kinda know........more than ever we need to have each other’s backs

The ball analogy is bang on.

I think many men do view women as a free resource, there to facilitate the lives of men
