Lily posts 'Why wasn’t I a choice?!!!' to a vote for 'LGBT Hero of the Year'.

The nominees include Arsham Parsi, founder of a charity that provides life-saving support to LGBT refugees fleeing Iran; the Russian LGBT network, which protected gay men at risk of being killed in Chechnya; and Hela, a transgender woman who spent four months in prison in Tunisia.

I can't imagine being so deluded about my own importance to even think that question, never mind directly ask it. She hasn't even done anything.

It’s interesting how Lily is simultaneous a strong fabulous trans woman who is confident enough to take on a public political role, talk down to and try to silence women who disagree, and also a fragile helpless little baby who needs to be protected from those nasty women pointing out that he’s actually an inept and delusional teenage boy.

Nobody who has supported Lily is going to do any kind of mea culpa or admit to having been duped. They're just going to hope nobody reminds them that they said ridiculous things.

But you know. Lily and Lily's backers will be hoist by their own petard. Deliberate transgressors never know when to stop.

Lily's fate is to be the person every Labour activist drops and pretends they never had anything to do with in the first place. It'll happen, sooner or later.

I am not a fan of Madigan by any stretch but I would like to think that this reply was actually tongue in cheek. It was one of the deluded followers that suggested it, after all, not Madigan.

Mind you, I find it hard to tell whether Lily actually believes anything Lily tweets, or whether the whole thing is an elaborate piss-take.

(There's probably a film in there somewhere, as a teenage boy watches his dare between friends to get inside the girls' loos turn into a national cause celebre, and finds himself accidentally running for PM on an 'I'm a Real Girl' ticket.)
