The top two were about trans people.

Gingernaut · 25/11/2017 23:05

If you specify the search term UK, then Karen Ingala-Smith comes first.

You have to Google "women killed in 2017" -transgender and specify from the UK only.

Otherwise American transgender women of color comes top of the search results.

Wasn't there a thread about this already?

The world is going through a topsy Turvey time indeed.

AnotherWorry · 25/11/2017 23:05

126 in the U.K. apparently. So far.

Oh, and only 2 of the first 7 results are actually about actual women.

The other 5 are about the other type of women. You know, the ones with penises. The ones we call men.

I have no words.

Babababababybel23 · 25/11/2017 23:06

It's exactly the same if you Google men killed in 2017.

LangCleg · 25/11/2017 23:13

My understanding is that this is likely because the transgender movement has created several listings type websites and that these are very heavily weighted with inbound links (presumably Tumblr, endless blogs, Wiki editors citing them, etc).

Karen Ingala Smith's website is the only significant listings-type website for women. Best thing to do would be to post links to it, and any other similar websites you find, from your social media accounts. And use the page for citations where appropriate if you are a Wiki editor.
