Interesting essay written by MtT Jenn Smith.

Excerpt -
"Anybody suggesting transgender persons born male are not in fact “real women” and even “female,” are called transphobic (including lesbians). That such an attack would come from within a community whose entire existence was based upon fighting for the right to sexual orientation is not only bizarre, it almost seems like a deliberate attempt to fracture the community from within.

As mentioned earlier, it would be easy to laugh this stuff off if it were not for the fact that government, Hollywood, mainstream media, and almost every institution of power is promoting this insanity. This fact should be a red flag for everybody. Why, when trans persons comprise such a tiny minority, is there such a sudden and urgent rush across most of the Western world to push the trans agenda?"

"If you can convince people that men are women, you can convince them of anything".

Chilling. And, apparently, true.

TinyRick · 16/08/2017 17:34

Ah Datun only just saw you had already linked to this on another thread Blush

TinyRick

No worries. The more people who read it, the better.

Yes Datun I am hoping more will read it and comment here. I think it would spark an interesting conversation (hopefully).

Brand I have been thinking the same for a while now. Sooo 1984, it's not funny.

Just to add something there is currently a big uproar on twitter from feminists accusing him of mysogynistic attacks and using female facilities, and him accusing them of 'doxxing' him. I have no idea of the truth as I can't find the threads but might be worth keeping in mind.

TinyRick · 17/08/2017 19:20

Who, Jenn?

Will have to delve into that, if so. Doesn't seem their narrative but I have an open mind.

I don't really do twitter but I couldn't find what you are talking about. Can you link the actual conversation please.

OP posts:
TinyRick · 17/08/2017 19:36

Or conversations about it?

I saw that Gone lots of the people who I follow have fallen out with him big style.

The essay is interesting and it's refreshing coming from a mtt.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 17/08/2017 19:42

Get thee on Twitter TinyRick, it's where it's at!

TinyRick · 17/08/2017 19:57

I really must I guess. I looked at his twitter and went back 4/5 pages but didn't see anything regarding to bathrooms and such so I figured I was doing it wrong

You have to get stuck in and you will get the hang of it. Lots of fantastic gender critical feminists, good for politics too.

TinyRick · 17/08/2017 20:14

Ah yeah I know but just haven't seen thi stuff about Jenn Smith in GC circles so I am intrigued.

Is it Lib Fems that are attacking Jenn?

OP posts:
DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 17/08/2017 20:24

No, it's gender critical feminists most of whom I follow. Not sure what the start of it was though.

Gonegonegone · 17/08/2017 21:20

GC feminists attacking Jenn yes and no I can't link anything on my phone.

I can't find whatever conversations that started it all. But they are claiming one thing and he is claiming they are doxxing him and they deny and so on.

I like the article but other things maybe problematic it just doesn't seem clear from what I can see posted.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 17/08/2017 21:37

Gender critical is a broad church, people agree on some issues but disagree massively on others.

Gonegonegone · 17/08/2017 22:02

I think I have worded that wrongly.

From what I can see they are saying he is attacking them, he is saying they are attacking him, and doxxing him, they deny that, and I can't find the original threads that started it all.

Just thought I should clarify.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 17/08/2017 22:08

That;s the jist I got Gone, don't know what happened to make it all kick off.

Gonegonegone · 17/08/2017 22:16

The furthest back I can see is gc radfems accusing him of mysogynistic slurs and using female facilities, but I can't see where that comes from. Which is why I thought it was relevant to mention here.

Datun · 17/08/2017 22:58

Very odd. Maybe he's one of those who disagree with the extreme stuff like lady penis, which the public won't buy. But still thinks loos are fair game?

I can't remember now whether the article mentioned loos.

BetsyM00 · 18/08/2017 00:03

I'm a bit wary of Jenn. I'm sure he said he studied propaganda at uni and comes across to me as doing too much 'vaguebooking', it's all a big conspiracy and I know more than you about what's really going on.

He is claiming that he has been doxxed, perhaps by @RadFemCrone, who he called a bitch, and the usage of this word has not gone down well. Apparently, he is married and only dons a woman persona for his twitter world, but is male (with no mention of Jenn) on his facebook account.

Who knows? I've got his essay open on another tab, but two days later I still haven't got the will to finish it. Looks likes it's got some good points but a bit too heavy on the illuminati for me.

Datun · 18/08/2017 00:06

Looks likes it's got some good points but a bit too heavy on the illuminati for me

But the same question keeps going unanswered. How have they managed to gain such traction over something so patently nonsensical?
