Have I missed it, or does a thread on this not exist? I can't post a link as the article has been withdrawn but it is certainly in the headlines everywhere. Most focus has been on antisemitism with less attention given to the aggressive sexism. Apologies (for "offence") from the Northern Irish Sunday Times editor only mentioned antisemitism, as if sexism was invisible to them or unimportant.

The piece was commissioned so I'm sure that the editor was none only aware of the sexism but had actively sought it Angry. He probably did not expect the anti-semitism, hence the apology for that.

Hmm yes, so it could have been important to him in a Katie Hopkins kind of way. The only other explanation appears to be he didn't read it, which seems unlikely.

Many years ago before the internet covered everything a reporter on a local Scottish paper somehow managed to get his own personal rant about how ridiculous the riders on one the Borders marches common ridings were. I wish I could find it- it was vitriolic and very funny and no one , apart from presumably the print setters had read it before it went to print.

Did his career survive the experience Lass? Smile

This editor seems on shaky ground - he should say if he passed it, or if he didn't see it, why?
