I put a trigger warning in the title for those traumatised by trans threads or want to accuse me of clickbaiting

I don't have a problem with a transgender model being the face of a brand, good luck to them, but I mind this:

"I think it's so impressive that they have embraced the diversity of modern women with the You Define You campaign."

I guess I'm not a modern woman

I occasionally buy their shampoo, when its on offer.

I wont do anymore. Like you its not the use of the trans model. Its the (what i consider) to be the propaganda that goes with it.

"I think it's so impressive that they have embraced the diversity of modern women with the You Define You campaign."

Not a woman. A man.

A feminine man who could promote femininity as a gender neutral concept, in a heartbeat if he wanted to. Or had any conception of what keeps women shackled to men's idea of womanhood.

But no, beauty, femininity, and allure are still firmly what defines a 'modern woman'.

Didn't get much sleep and what with more crap in the news and some arseholes on here, I'm in one hell of a belligerent mood this morning.

Off to have a nice bath and step back

"There is nothing more important than expressing who you truly are" someone who genuinely thinks that this is the case is misguided. There are a thousand and one more important things. It's great if you fee free enough to express yourself as you'd like to, but it's not the most important thing.

I'm not bothered about T&G using a transgender model, I don't buy their products or use their salons (after having a truly dreadful haircut once from an apparently senior stylist!). It's a shame they've missed an opportunity to have a range of different types of women, and have instead gone for an attention grabbing alternative.

Modelling - one of the very few industries where women earn more than men. Fortunately, this irregularity can now be rectified!

Why the fuck is it always femaleness that has to morph and diversify? Why can't maleness transform and develop to include many different definitions and styles of being male?

Infuriating.
